Philippine clients visited Dong’an to discuss the enclosure system project.
On September 5, 2025, a client from the Philippines visited Harbin Dong’an Building Panel Co., Ltd. for on-site discussions and a factory tour focused on building envelope panels and cold-storage enclosure systems. Grounded in specific project requirements, the two parties engaged in in-depth deliberations on the applications and configurations of envelope products, as well as the logistics and delivery arrangements for overseas projects.
For the Philippine market, building envelopes and cold-chain facilities face practical requirements that differ from those in colder regions. Industrial plants and warehouse buildings must balance thermal insulation, weather resistance, and construction efficiency, while food-processing, agricultural-product storage, and logistics projects place greater emphasis on maintaining stable temperature-controlled environments. Consequently, even for sandwich panel products, different applications may exhibit significant variations in panel type, thickness, joint detailing, and supporting systems.
This is also one of the key reasons behind this customer visit to Dong’an. Rather than simply reviewing product catalogs, a factory tour enables customers to gain a more concrete understanding—based on real‑world projects—of production processes, specification options, and subsequent supply arrangements. The two parties did not limit themselves to individual products; instead, they engaged in discussions centered on how building envelope systems can be combined across various application scenarios.
At the production site, the Dong’an team presented to the customer the manufacturing process for building envelope panels, illustrating key steps such as panel fabrication, dimensional control, and finished‑product assembly with reference to actual products. The customer focused on gaining insights into the production conditions and supply capabilities of the relevant products and engaged in further discussions regarding the product specifications that might be required for the project.
The cold storage envelope system was another key focus of this exchange. Compared with conventional industrial buildings, cold storage facilities have more stringent requirements for the continuity and thermal insulation performance of their envelope systems. Cold‑storage panels, doors, and critical details such as wall‑to‑roof connections and corner joints must be integrated into a cohesive whole. For prefabricated cold storage units, seamless coordination among factory fabrication, packaging and transportation, and on‑site installation also requires careful planning in advance.
Dong’an has long been involved in steel‑structure projects, building envelope systems, and various cold‑storage facilities; accordingly, this exchange extended beyond the panels themselves. Drawing on the client’s project requirements, both parties discussed issues such as building applications, envelope materials, product configurations, production lead times, and export logistics. Through this project‑oriented dialogue, the client was able to more directly assess how well the products align with their specific project needs.
This visit also underscores that the Philippine market’s attention toward Chinese suppliers of building envelope products is shifting from mere product procurement to a focus on project‑level integration capabilities. For overseas clients, price is only one factor in supply‑chain decision‑making; whether products can be manufactured to meet project specifications, whether components can be coordinated for timely delivery, and whether export packaging and logistics can be seamlessly aligned all play critical roles in ensuring successful project execution.
For Dong’an, this visit by the Philippine client represents an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the Southeast Asian construction and cold-chain markets. Through face-to-face project discussions, the company can more precisely identify customers’ actual requirements for building envelope panels and cold-storage systems, and tailor product offerings and delivery arrangements to suit each specific project.
Following the visit, both parties will continue to engage in technical and commercial discussions on the relevant projects and, based on project progress, further finalize product configurations, production schedules, and supply arrangements. Dong’an will also leverage its expertise in steel structures, building envelopes, and cold-storage projects to provide overseas customers with product solutions that better align with their specific application scenarios.
