Bangladeshi clients visited Dong’an to discuss a small modular cold storage project.
On August 29, 2025, a customer from Bangladesh visited Harbin Dong’an Building Panel Co., Ltd. to conduct on-site discussions and a factory tour regarding a small modular cold storage project. The visit focused on the product configuration, production capacity, application requirements, and subsequent supply arrangements for the compact cold storage system. Both parties aim to clarify, through face-to-face communication, the specific product and technical specifications needed to implement the project.
For small-scale cold storage projects, although the project scale is relatively limited, high standards are still required for product compatibility and on-site installation efficiency. Cold storage panels, doors, connecting components, and insulation systems must work together to form a complete enclosure, while the dimensions and internal layout of the cold room must be tailored to the specific site conditions. Consequently, for medium- and small-sized cold chain projects, flexible product configuration and efficient supply chains are often key concerns for clients.
This visit by the Bangladeshi client to Dong’an is also closely tied to the project’s unique characteristics. Rather than relying solely on images, product catalogs, or online meetings to assess a supplier, an on-site visit allows clients to gain a more direct understanding of the production process and, in conjunction with their own project requirements, evaluate the feasibility of various product configurations. In response to the client’s project objectives, the Dong’an team presented cold‑storage solutions and outlined the associated manufacturing and supply‑chain processes.
At the production site, the customer gained an understanding of the manufacturing and processing stages of cold storage panels and related enclosure products, and engaged in discussions on panel specifications, thickness selection, connection methods, and product packaging. The two parties also addressed coordination issues during transportation and on-site assembly, taking into account the characteristics of small modular cold storage units.
Small modular cold storage units typically feature relatively short installation timelines and strong spatial adaptability, making them well-suited for applications such as food storage, agricultural product preservation, catering distribution, and small-scale cold-chain logistics. For overseas projects, since cold storage equipment must be transported from the factory to its destination, in addition to the product’s intrinsic performance, attention should also be paid to packaging, containerization, and protection during transit.
Dong’an primarily engages in steel‑structure projects, building envelope systems, and various cold‑storage facilities, with extensive experience in supplying cold‑storage panels, doors, and related enclosure systems. This exchange went beyond a single product; instead, starting from the holistic requirements of small‑scale cold storage, it addressed aspects such as envelope system configuration, product supply, and the various stages involved in project execution.
For overseas customers, factory audits are also a crucial means of verifying suppliers’ actual production conditions. By observing on-site the production equipment, processing environment, and product‑manufacturing processes, customers can form a more direct assessment of the supplier’s manufacturing capabilities. At the same time, both parties can use these in‑person discussions to identify in advance any issues related to product specifications, packaging and transportation, or project installation that may require further coordination.
This visit by Bangladeshi clients presents an opportunity for Dong’an to engage in project‑level exchanges with the South Asian market. As food processing, agricultural product distribution, and cold‑chain logistics continue to develop, small‑scale temperature‑controlled storage facilities are gaining traction in certain emerging markets. Compared with large‑scale cold storage projects, compact, modular units offer greater flexibility, allowing for tailored configurations that align with specific site constraints and operational requirements.
Following the visit, both parties will continue technical and commercial discussions on the small modular cold storage project and, based on project progress, further finalize product specifications, the production schedule, and the supply plan. Dong’an will also leverage its extensive experience in cold storage and building envelope projects to provide overseas customers with products and supply solutions that better align with their specific project requirements.
