Russian clients visited Dong’an to inspect the modular housing project.
On April 29, 2026, a client from Russia visited Harbin Dong’an Building Panel Co., Ltd. to conduct a factory tour and on-site inspection focused on the modular housing project. The primary objective of this visit was not merely the procurement of a single product, but rather to gain firsthand insight into Dong’an’s manufacturing capabilities, product portfolio, and project‑supporting infrastructure, thereby further validating supply conditions for future collaborations on modular housing projects.
During the factory tour, the Dong’an team accompanied the client on a visit to the production workshops and related manufacturing areas, providing an overview of the company’s production processes, equipment configuration, quality‑control measures, and product‑processing stages. The on‑site inspection enabled the client to gain a clearer, more hands‑on understanding of how building panels and related products are manufactured—from raw materials to finished goods—and to learn more about how these products are applied in real‑world projects.
Modular housing projects place high demands on the compatibility of building components and on production coordination. Compared with conventional construction, modular buildings typically require more components to be prefabricated and processed in a factory before being transported to the project site for assembly. Consequently, factors such as product dimensions, connection methods, enclosure systems, and the overall coordination among components can all impact the efficiency of subsequent transportation and installation. This factory inspection also focused on these practical project‑related issues.
As a leading player in steel‑structure, building envelope, and cold‑storage projects, Dong’an boasts extensive experience in supplying comprehensive building envelope products and has actively participated in steel‑structure and related construction initiatives. For modular housing, seamless coordination between the steel‑frame structure and the wall, roof, and other envelope systems is essential—this was one of the key areas of focus during the client’s site visit.
During the product‑exchange session, both parties engaged in an in‑depth discussion on the architectural form, envelope materials, product specifications, manufacturing conditions, and potential avenues for future collaboration related to the modular housing project. Drawing on the project’s specific requirements, the Russian client conducted an on‑site assessment of product applications, production capacity, and supply‑chain processes, and exchanged views with the Dong’an team on technical details and procurement matters for upcoming projects.
For overseas clients, factory visits not only help verify a supplier’s production capacity but also mitigate information gaps that can arise from relying solely on images, documentation, and online communication. Particularly in projects like modular construction, which require the seamless coordination of multiple components, inspecting the production facilities and product‑manufacturing processes in person enables both parties to more accurately assess the feasibility of collaboration.
This visit by the Russian client further underscores the solid foundation of ongoing communication between Dong’an and the Russian market. In recent years, the company has consistently monitored the needs of Russia and other overseas markets in industrial construction, building envelopes, cold storage facilities, and related projects, while forging partnerships through trade shows, project discussions, and customer visits.
Following the conclusion of this visit, both parties will continue to advance follow-up discussions on the modular housing project and, based on project progress, further finalize product specifications, technical requirements, and supply arrangements. Dong’an will also leverage its manufacturing capabilities and project‑support expertise to explore with overseas clients collaborative approaches better aligned with the specific needs of their projects.
