Ugandan customer visits Dong’an.

On November 25, 2025, a client from Uganda visited Harbin Dong’an Building Materials Co., Ltd. to conduct a factory tour and on-site inspection for an industrial‑plant steel‑structure project. The visit focused on the steel‑structure products required for the project, production capacity, quality‑control measures, and arrangements for subsequent supply, providing both parties with a valuable opportunity for face-to-face communication to further advance their collaborative efforts.

During the factory tour, the Dong’an team accompanied the client on a visit to the production workshops and related manufacturing areas, providing an overview of the company’s production processes, machining equipment, quality‑control measures, and the fabrication stages for steel‑structure components. Through this on‑site inspection, the client gained a clearer, more hands‑on understanding of the entire production workflow—from raw‑material processing and component fabrication to final‑product inspection—while also deepening their insight into Dong’an’s capabilities in production management and project delivery.

Steel‑structure projects for industrial plants typically involve a large number of components with diverse specifications, placing stringent demands on component dimensions, connection details, fabrication accuracy, and production scheduling. For overseas projects, once the steel structures are fabricated, they must undergo export packaging, transportation, and delivery to the local construction site; accordingly, the seamless coordination between factory fabrication and on‑site installation is a key focus during client factory audits.

Dong’an primarily engages in steel‑structure projects, building envelope systems, and cold‑storage facilities, and has accumulated extensive experience in constructing industrial plants, warehouses, and production workshops. In the context of the industrial‑plant project that has drawn the attention of this Ugandan client, both parties conducted an in-depth discussion on the project’s steel‑structure requirements, component fabrication, production timelines, and subsequent supply‑chain procedures. The client also conducted an on‑site assessment of product specifications and manufacturing capacity, taking into account the project’s specific conditions.

During the project‑level discussions, both parties also exchanged views on quality control, production scheduling, export packaging, and logistics delivery. For overseas clients, on‑site visits enable them to more objectively assess suppliers’ manufacturing capabilities and project‑execution expertise, while also allowing for a deeper alignment of expectations regarding products and supply‑chain processes prior to formal collaboration.

Compared with relying solely on online images, documents, and virtual meetings to assess suppliers, a factory visit allows clients to directly observe production equipment, processing environments, and quality‑management procedures. For steel‑structure projects, such on‑site communication is particularly valuable, enabling both parties to address in advance issues closely tied to subsequent installation—such as component fabrication, numbering, packaging, and transportation—thereby reducing information gaps and facilitating smoother project execution.

This visit by the Ugandan client represents another opportunity for Dong’an to further expand its project collaborations in the African market. In recent years, the company has consistently engaged in overseas industrial construction, warehousing facilities, and related building projects, while maintaining close communication with contractors, traders, and project owners across various countries and regions.

Following the conclusion of this visit, both parties will continue technical and commercial exchanges based on the progress of the industrial‑plant steel‑structure project, further finalizing product specifications, production schedules, and supply arrangements. Harbin Dong’an Building Materials Co., Ltd. will also leverage its manufacturing capabilities and project‑support expertise to provide overseas customers with steel‑structure products and supply solutions tailored to their specific project requirements.
