Gambian customer visits Dong’an.
On October 16, 2025, a client from The Gambia visited Harbin Dong’an Building Panel Co., Ltd. to conduct a factory tour and on-site inspection for a modular cold storage project. The visit focused on the products required for the cold storage project, production capacity, quality control, and follow-up supply arrangements, providing both parties with an opportunity for face-to-face discussions to further advance their collaborative efforts.
During the factory tour, the Dong’an team accompanied the customer on a visit to the production workshops and related manufacturing areas, providing an overview of the company’s production processes, product processing, quality control, and the manufacturing stages of cold‑storage‑related products. The on‑site inspection enabled the customer to gain a more direct understanding of how products such as cold‑storage panels are manufactured—from raw material processing to finished‑product assembly—and to further appreciate Dong’an’s production organization and project‑supply capabilities.
Modular cold storage projects typically require extensive prefabrication at the factory, followed by transportation to the site for assembly. Consequently, the coordination among cold storage panel dimensions, thermal insulation performance, connection methods, cold storage doors, and related ancillary components plays a critical role in subsequent transportation and installation. During this factory audit, both parties also engaged in discussions on these issues, which are directly relevant to the project’s successful implementation.
Dong’an primarily engages in steel structure projects, building envelope systems, and various cold storage facilities, with extensive experience in supplying cold storage panels, doors, and related enclosure systems. For the modular cold storage project currently under consideration by the Gambian client, both parties conducted further discussions on the intended application scenarios, product configurations, panel specifications, and project delivery arrangements. Based on the project’s specific requirements, the client also carried out an on-site assessment of the relevant products and manufacturing capabilities.
During the project‑exchange session, both parties also discussed issues such as product quality control, production lead times, packaging methods, and export logistics. For overseas customers, on‑site factory audits provide a more direct assessment of a supplier’s manufacturing capabilities and help to further validate product specifications and supply‑chain procedures prior to formal collaboration.
Compared with learning about suppliers through images, product documentation, and online meetings, a factory visit allows customers to directly observe production equipment, processing environments, and quality‑management procedures. For modular cold‑storage projects, such on‑site communication is particularly helpful in enabling both parties to discuss in advance key aspects such as product dimensions, panel fabrication, cold‑storage door configurations, packaging and transportation, and on‑site installation, thereby reducing information gaps during subsequent project execution.
This visit by the Gambian client represents another project‑level exchange as Dong’an continues to expand its presence in the African cold‑chain market. With the growth of industries such as food processing, agricultural product storage, and logistics and distribution, demand for temperature‑controlled storage facilities is steadily gaining attention in select African markets. Modular cold storage units offer flexible configuration tailored to project scale and available space, making them well suited to a variety of small- and medium‑sized cold‑chain initiatives.
Following the conclusion of this visit, both parties will continue technical and commercial discussions in line with project progress, further finalizing product specifications, production schedules, and supply arrangements. Harbin Dong’an Building Panel Co., Ltd. will also leverage its manufacturing capabilities and project‑support expertise to provide overseas customers with products and supply solutions that align with the specific requirements of their cold‑storage projects.
